The better question is how the hell is neteller gonna keep track of which merchants are gambling.

It's only a matter of time before you have Spirocars, calvinboats, and mickeyjewelry.com... Unless a new option comes up.

If the books fool neteller, it is no loner their problem. Just like when citibank gets fooled.

I get Neteller peer to peer payments for various things from time to time....I haven't seen an actual merchant that takes it other than gambling sites

Paypal is quite successful and can be used for peer to peer as well as many non gambling things on the internet most noteably Ebay.

There is a very large world outside of gambling filled with many hobbies and experiances, you realize that right?

I sometimes sell on ebay. A few years ago I listed Neteller as a payment option. All I ever got was a few people requesting or offering deals that smelled strongly of scam.

There are, tho, a lot of ebay sellers who hate Paypal, no make that despise Paypal, and many will not take Paypal in payment.

He meant he'd never seen a non-gaming merchant that accepts Neteller....and neither have I. I've accepted peer-to-peer transfers myself, as have others I know but as far as a non-gaming merchant with an actual Neteller merchant account I haven't seen one.

I hate PayPal too....I've had a PayPal account ever since there's been a PayPal and have sent and received tens, if not hundreds, of thousand dollars through it. This Christmas I received a bunch of cigars as gifts and just ran out of humidor storage space for them all. I listed like twenty cigars on Yahoo Auctions and let the winners pay me via PayPal. Not more than 10 minutes after receiving payment I got a message from PayPal that they were closing my account for violating their TOS by selling tobacco products. You'd think that my long history of doing business with them and the fact that its not like I'm in the tobacco business would have mattered, but they said there was no appeal, no nothing, I was just done.

PayPal changes their TOS weekly just about so its hard to keep up with it.

i sell on ebay...i love paypal bc i use their money market account to benefit myself now....having said that...ebay was brilliant for buying out paypal so they double fu-k their merchants by charging another 3% on top of final purchase price commission and listing fees...

neteller serves NO OTHER purpose outside gambling here in the united states (OUTSIDE OF PEER TO PEER for those who can utilize it)..and for those who say it does .....you represent <1% of the population....

seeing paypal is owned by ebay, "PayPal allows businesses and consumers to send and receive secure online payments via email. An eBay company."

id say ya..its great for ebay sales...

dont quote me on this but i wanna say they paid something like 1.2 1.3 bill for paypal...maybe someone has the actual price....

ebay/paypal to me is a quasi monopoly...ebay owns the 1 form of payment used by 99% of its members....gimmie a break...

If we can still conduct peer to peer business what's to prevent offshore books from having clients send to a person at the book such as the account manager who then deposits into your account? Kind of like Western Union when the book would tell you to send it to a specific person.

Sounds like a good idea in theory, but I'm wondering why this hasn't been done with PayPal? It must not be that simple....
